Hammers United - West Ham United fan advisory board
WEST HAM UNITED FAN ADVISORY BOARD

We need to bring our members up to date again on proposed changes to Fan Engagement at West Ham. This is a hugely important moment which, if we get it right, could lead to positive changes that will benefit our West Ham fans.

For too long fan engagement with the club has fallen well short and we note that there is genuine concern within the fan base, as illustrated by a continuing debate on the KUMB fans forum which has so far attracted over 36500 views. One also notes the Club’s recent announcement on Europa League ticket prices for which there was no consultation with the ISC and is now the subject of a similar debate on KUMB and across other forums.

Hammers United’s Andy Payne was asked if he would step in as an interim chair of the ISC and agreed to do this as of 15th January. He has since drawn up an action plan, outstanding ISC minutes have now been posted and he reports that the ISC is united and working together to ensure they measure up to the high standards of transparency, accountability, democracy and independence that fellow West Ham fans expect from them.

With Andy Payne now leading negotiations the ISC is in a much better place than it has ever been. The ISC now goes into negotiations with the Club well led, well briefed, well prepared and united.

In Andy’s own words to the Club, “We believe that we stand on the threshold of a very positive and constructive new chapter between fans and the Club. Let’s make sure we seize the massive opportunity ahead of us all to reinforce credibility and trust among the whole fan base.”.

This is a golden opportunity not just for the fan groups but for the club too.

Please note our Committee Minutes of January 23rd,link can be found below:
https://hammersunited.com/hammers-united-meeting-minutes-23-1-24/

This FAB cannot be allowed to be a box ticking exercise by the Club. We simply have to achieve genuine fan representation at West Ham United. Our fans deserve so much better and Hammers United will play its part and do our utmost to achieve.

We will keep you updated.

Thanks and COYI
Hammers United Committee

As someone who plays a much smaller role in the HU operation, I know how much blood sweat and tears Chav and some of the other committee pours in to working for the supporters.

I think HU is acutely aware that there is only so much they can achieve under the current ownership regime but I can assure you that the supporters would be much worse off if HU didn't exist.

I really don't get the animosity towards HU. I can only imagine it is triggered by individual self loathing wanting to lash out at those who actually want to get of their arses and do something.

Thanks Chav, you've come a long way. I remember when HU was completely ignored by the club and now you head the Fan Advisory Board. Quite impressive! Unfortunately the step of actually getting change looks even harder. There is support here and a lot of people rooting for you. I'd support the WHO fund helping if needed, but not sure, WHO would need to follow Moncurs and Charley's procedures.

Yeah, you shouldn't put down those that still have the energy to try and get through to these wankers who only look at it as they are owners of just another business that happens to be a sports club.

Remember our current owner tried to make money out of premium phone lines to sell supporters match tickets.....so how they can even try to engage with whatever level of club representation HE deems is worthy of them is a pat on the back from me.

I like cask ale, but not much for cardigans and train spotting, good film through.
Hammers United are doing a good job. Someone needs to push for us fans to be represented.

At least someone, is trying to do something.

Rather than just throwing insults around on a message board.

Good luck.

Re: HAMMERS UNITED - WEST HAM UNITED FAN ADVISORY BOARD
Milke, you’re probably right, but good to have HU around and established and able to build relations with any new ownership if we’re ever taken over.

My thoughts are at least someone is trying. My only worry is Andy. Wasn’t he the fella who waffled on TalkSport for 10 minutes?

Re: HAMMERS UNITED - WEST HAM UNITED FAN ADVISORY BOARD
the group clearly hasn't taken any fucking notice of how these cunts run the club if you think they're going to give the merest of shits what fans think. It's delusion on another level, it's the midget bastard's toy/cash cow and he'll run it how he wants

I forgot these idiots existed. Seems like a lot of effort for no tangible result. Keeps a few bust librarian types off the street I suppose.
